SEDL: When Three Become One

The Solemnity of the Blessed Trinity

Grace: Dearest Lord, I beg for the grace of awe and deep wonder at the mystery of the Blessed Trinity – that I may share in the relationship of love among the three persons of the Blessed Trinity.

Scriptural Reading:

The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they all saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age" (Mt 28:16-20).

Point for Reflection:

1. Try to imagine the three Persons of the Blessed Trinity. How do they all look like? How is the Father different from the Son? the Son from the Holy Spirit? the Holy Spirit from the Father?

2. Approach each Persons. Talk to each Persons. Share your present concerns with them. Listen to them. How did each of them respond to you?

3. TAKE NOTE: Should nothing happen in your prayer, just remain and stay in prayer. No need for fireworks or deep insights. Just remain in the silence of your prayer – with all its itch and rising boredom. Sometimes, God can be a total bore. But God loves and enjoys your presence.

4. End your prayer by saying, “God, I love you.”
